i have spent my last days off doing my most favorite things.
in the last week, i have been to the beach 3 times–let me repeat myself, 3 times.
margit and i call it our little adventure.
each time we have ventured to santa monica after she drops the girls off at school.
and each time it has looked quite similar, yet quite different.
a long run/walk…on the boardwalk, through pacific palisades, or up/down stairs that pass over PCH.
checking out the real estate along the way–the $12 million homes, the trailer parks, that which you could only see in southern california, the beach resorts, and raw nature.
sitting in our beach chairs relaxing to the sound of the ocean–reading a magazine, eating our packed lunch, or watching the lifeguard paddle in the ocean atop his surfboard.
on to our final adventure–lunch at tito’s, cupcakes from vanilla bakeshop, or sandwiches from wild oats.
definitely a new weekly tradition–one full of adventure, one full of fun times, one full of conversation, one full of relaxation, one full of sunshine, one full of memories.
that’s how i like to spend days off.
