“you just have to understand. this isn’t a philosophy, a literary theory, or a story to me. it’s my life.””absolutely, so just go make it the one you’ve always wanted.”
~conversation that takes place between harold crick and professor hilbert in stranger than fiction.
this conversation occurs as the two talk about the ending of the story that is written about harold, namely that of his imminent death. but, as harold quickly realizes, it isn’t about his death…but more about his life.
and it seems that at this point, harold begins living life.
or living life in a new way…
one he’s always wanted.
jen, why aren’t you a writer?
oh, but i am…
paper after paper for grad school,
blog after blog for my own renewal,
note after note for the encouragement of others.
just not discovered…
except by a few 🙂
I discovered you in pre-K…haven’t I always encouraged you to write a book and illustrate it with your creative art? It would be a best seller…and I would buy the first 50 copies for myself and friends…autographed, of course!
what kind of things did i write in pre-K?
i thought you were going to write the book and i was going to illustrate it?
best seller…just in montgomery.
